Vinod Daniel is an internationally recognised museum specialist with over 30 years with the Australian Museum (Sydney) and the J Paul Getty Trust (Los Angeles), among other institutions, in museum-related roles.  He has worked on museum planning, conservation, management, acquisition, repatriation, capacity-building and risk assessment initiatives in over 50 countries.  

He has delivered over 200 workshops on museum-related aspects, published and presented some 100 papers, and has been interviewed by media, with over 300 media articles and press interviews.

He has received several Awards, including ICOM Australia for International Relations 2011, ASTRA (Association of Soft Skills Trainers) Service Excellence Award for sustainable contribution to the field of Human Resource Development and Human Resource Management 2014, GEMCO Award for Lifetime Work in India for Heritage and Social Work 2019, India-Australia Community Awards (IABCA) for Community Service 2020, and IABCA Social Impact Award 2022.

He is currently Chairman of the Board for AusHeritage, Advisory Committee member of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya and CEO of India Vision Institute.

He was Vice Chairman, International Council of Museums (ICOM) -Committee for Conservation (2008-14), Board Member, ICOM (2016-22)
