THE VISIT WILL START AT 17:00. THE MEETING POINT WILL BE «CARRER DE LA BLANQUERIA, 23, 46003 VALÈNCIA».
We propose a visit to the Casa-Museu Benllinure’s garden, contrasting the current state with material from the archive of the house to verify the transformation processes that have taken place over time.
This garden is considered a historic site under The Florence Charter 1981. However, the current garden, while attractive, does not faithfully represent its original state from Benlliure’s lifetime. A restoration process is underway to analyse the current garden and establish a basis for comparison. The proposed intervention will follow a systematic methodology involving comprehensive research, archival examination, and expert consultations, adhering to cultural heritage guidelines. Additionally, the garden will be adapted to contemporary needs, considering visitor accessibility, carrying capacity, and land usage planning, while also considering urban ecology and climate change. Long-term maintenance plans will ensure preservation and ecological resilience, creating a harmonious blend of history and modernity in the garden.
