Receptions and Social Activities

The welcome reception will take place on Sunday 17th September in the charming Institut Valencià d’Art Modern. This museum is located in a popular neighbourhood of Valencia, near the historic city centre. You can find more information about IVAM here.

The farewell reception will take place in the afternoon of Friday 22nd September, in the CaixaForum València. The CaixaForum is a brand new cultural centre, from Fundación «la Caixa», located in one of the fascinating buildings of the City of Arts and Sciences.

A concert at San Nicolás

On Tuesday 19, at 20:00, participants can attend a concert at the remarkable historical church of San Nicolás. The venue is impressive, and so will be the music. The singing students of the Conservatori Superior de Música “Joaquín Rodrigo” of València will perform a selection of representative works of the Spanish and Valencian musical heritage from the 16th to the 18th centuries. The concert is free for Conference participants. who have collected their tickets at the Conference’s stand.

The church has a capacity of 200 people. If you want to attend the concert, you must get your free ticket beforehand at the Conference’s stand in the Trade Fair area, since Tuesday morning. You need a ticket to attend the concert.

An exhibition at the UPV: Culture and Technological Change

On the occasion of the 20th ICOM-CC Triennial Conference Valencia 2023, the Universitat Politècnica de València has organized an exhibition on the topic of culture, technology, and heritage. The exhibition will be inaugurated on Wednesday, 20, at 13:00. It will remain on display at the Space n-1 until October. The Space n-1 is at the Central Library building at the ‘Ágora’, the square at the center of campus. It is two minutes from the Paraninfo. The Space n-1 is open to the public and can be freely visited by all participants at the conference.

Traditional Valencian Food Demo

From New York, Tokyo, Melbourne, China… More than 800 experts in heritage conservation and museum management will come together next week in order to participate in a congress in the City of Valencia.

SOLD OUT! Conference dinner will be offered on the evening of Thursday 21th September, in the Las Arenas Hotel, a beautiful resort by the Valencia beach. This is yet another occasion for meeting colleagues in a non-working setting. The Conference dinner is optional and must be paid as an extra during the registration. SOLD OUT!
