THE BUS WILL BE WAITING AT THE «OUTSIDE VALÈNCIA VISITS BUS STOP» BEHIND THE BELLAS ARTES BUILDING, AS SHOWN ON THE CONFERENCE GUIDE. THE BUS WILL LEAVE AT 15:00.
Reception by the Mayor of Alzira, (capital of the Ribera Alta, located 36 km from Valencia), at the Town Hall. Groups will be formed to visit four venues that bring together the tangible and intangible heritage of the city: Town Hall (civil heritage), MUMA (BB.AA and archaeology), EtnoMUMA (ethnological heritage) and the Fallas Museum (Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO). Examples of interventions carried out in the following areas will be shown in situ: Noble Hall of the Town Hall, coffered ceiling and the altarpiece of San Silvestre, (1597); rehabilitation of the Casa del Empeño-MUMA, a Gothic-Renaissance mansion (16th-17th centuries), reused as a city museum; Casa de Alós, a typical Valencian bourgeois building (late 19th century), used as an ethnological museum; and the Museu Faller, which brings together all the areas that make up the festival, the hallmark of identity par excellence of the Valencians. The real problems of local museums will be discussed, given the lack of resources, both material and human, for the conservation of their heritage.
Observations: Please, note that this visit takes place in Alzira, outside València. The attendants will be transferred to the place by bus for free. The transfer will last around 1 hour.
