During the visit, the preliminary studies and the diagnostic strategy carried out in the Portal of the Chapel of the Kings will be described; and later, the restoration treatment will be explained, especially in the pieces of the heraldic shields. The portal is in the Valencian Gothic style, built between 1440-1446, with a double archivolt on paired columns whose tympanum represents the arms of Alfonso the Magnanimous. This architectural ensemble measures approximately 5.4 x 3.6 x 0.91 m (height x width x depth). Intervention criteria that allow the retreatability of the monument.
Phases:
i) an analytical approach was carried out on the materials and alterations to detect the vulnerabilities of the work in order to mitigate the damage
ii) exhaustive historical documentation
iii) the intervention focused on cleaning, reconstruction of forms, chromatic reintegration and protection
