Exclusive visit to the Hortensia Herrero Art Centre, which will open its doors to the public in November of this year. It is a unique visit, where attendees will be able to see the finished building and perhaps some site-specific artworks in advance. After five years of restoration, the Valeriola Palace, an iconic 17th-century building that had fallen into disuse, opens its doors as an Art Centre.
The restoration has been a great challenge where elements of high historical interest have been found, such as a part of the ruins of the Roman Circus. In addition to the restoration, the challenge has also been to transform an old palace into a space capable of hosting great works of international contemporary art and condition the space for its perfect maintenance.
It’s a unique space in Valencia that hosts a dialogue between the past of a building and the avant-garde art.
Particular conditions: As the Hortensia Herrero Art Centre hasn’t opened its doors yet to the public, photos and videos won’t be allowed.
