Several institutions face the challenge of implementing new systems of governance that, from one side, ensure the active participation of a diversity of voices in the decision-making processes and, from the other, implement new institutional agendas towards the SDG as a shared blueprint for global peace and shared prosperity.

This presentation will aim to share the IVAM experience. Since 2019 the institution has been introducing a new governance approach that pursues to reinforce some of its historical institutional weaknesses, especially concerning the relationship with local communities.
