The archaeological site of La Bastida de les Alcusses houses the remains of a fortified settlement dating from the fourth century BC. It is located at the southwestern end of the Serra Grossa, in Moixent, on a hill above the Pla de les Alcusses. Since 1928, a comprehensive management project has been underway at the site, which includes research, experimental archaeology a conservation programme and educational activities.

A tour of the main areas excavated in the settlement will be organized, such as the walls and the fortified gates and several blocks of houses and streets. The visit of an educational area with a full-scale reproduction of a house equipped with objects from the period is included.

Research strategies, conservation practices and management of the site will be considered in the tour.

Observations: Please, note that this visit takes place in Moixent, outside València. The attendants will be transferred to the place by bus for free. The transfer will last around 1,5 hours.
