This is not actually ‘news’, but just a few words to let you know that it has been an absolute pleasure to host you at Valencia. We all have done our best to make ICOM-CC Valencia 2023 an enjoyable event at both the personal and professional levels —one that you will remember in the coming years. In the name of a very large team of persons and institutions, thank you for coming. Valencia 2023 is over: long live Oslo 2026!

Farewell Reception Information
The Farewell Reception will start today at 19:00 hrs. at CaixaForum.
At the end of today session, a bus from the Conference Organization will take you there. This bus will be waiting at Avinguda de Tarongers, near the Nexus Building. Our volunteers and the NOC will guide you there.
Once you get there you will be able to enjoy the current exhibition until the start of the Farewell Reception.
The Conference will end today, Friday 22, with a final Plenary Session. As announced, the session will take place at the Nexus Auditorium. The Nexus is on the UPV campus, around 8 minutes from the Paraninfo or the Bellas Artes auditoriums. It is a nice walk, by the way.
The Nexus has a capacity of 485 people. If this capacity is reached, you will be able to follow the session from a room in the same building, where the session will be streamed.
The coffee breaks will take place in the Nexus, but catered lunches will be served at the usual catering area.

At 19:00, there will be a Farewell reception at the CaixaForum, one of the fascinating buildings in the City of Arts and Sciences. There is no program: it will just be a relaxed time for mingling, chatting, and commenting in a beautiful setting. We will be taken there by chartered buses: check the Last News section later to know exactly where on the campus the buses will be waiting for us.

About the Conference Dinner
For those of you who will attend the Conference dinner, here is some information from the organization:
The Conference dinner will start with a cocktail starting at 19:30. PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR BADGE (OR TICKET) WITH YOU.
Also, if you have special dietary needs, PLEASE DO NOT FORGET YOUR SPECIAL DIET TICKET.
The seats are not assigned, except for those of the Valencia 2023 NOC and the ICOM-CC Directory boards, which are identified with a sign. Feel free to sit in any other free seat in either the lower or upper floor.
The dinner will end at between at around 22:30. The easiest way to get back to the city center is by booking a cab, Uber or Cabify.
Those of you feeling like having a late drink can walk to some of the pubs or music bars around the Las Arenas Hotel, or find some in the historic city center: try, for example, those in the Calle Caballeros.
The Special Wikimedia Speech has been rescheduled for Thursday 21, at 13:00, at the Salón de Actos, below the Paraninfo Auditorium (next to the Salón de Grados, where some impromptu meetings have taken place). In this presentation, you will have a glimpse of some exciting aspects of the future of cultural heritage.

On Wednesday all Demos and Presentations will take place at the Salón de Grados Agrónomos due to the Trade Fair Stage being unavailable.

There is a possibility that a ‘DANA’ (isolated depression at high level) could pass over the city of Valencia between the afternoon of Tuesday and the morning of Wednesday. DANAs bring rain and can bring heavy rain. The forecast is uncertain because these phenomena usually cover a small area, but it could be a good idea to bring your umbrella.

If you want to go to an Impromptu Meeting, just retrieve your ticket at the National Organizing Comittee Stand of the Trade Fair (please note that tickets are limited to 20 people). If you want to book a room to do an Impromptu Meeting, you will be able to do so at the same place.
