The Natural History Museum of the University of Valencia – M(UV)HN has as its main objectives the research, management, conservation and dissemination of the scientific collections of HN of the UV, generated through the teaching and research activity both for the scientific community as well as society in general. It has two permanent exhibition rooms (zoology and geology/palaeontology) and a hall that allows temporary exhibitions. Several laboratories for the preparation of specimens. A classroom where workshops and outreach activities are given. A consultation room for visiting researchers. A special room for Type specimens. Two conservation rooms (Bioteca and Litoteca) with environmental controls for the conservation of unexposed collections, with freezing chambers for quarantining new arrivals. A laboratory the 3D scanning of the type specimens and other relevant elements.
